MOZO Shoes Calls on Home Cooks and Chef
Aarón Sánchez Fans
With a Social Media Contest
Celebrating Halloween
and Día de los Muertos
October 31, 2012 – Today, in honor of Halloween and Día de los Muertos
(tomorrow, November 1, 2012), MOZO Shoes,
a leading restaurant footwear company, announces a contest that speaks to home
cooks, especially those who dream of cooking like a certain renowned
Mexican-American chef, and shoe addicts alike. Given MOZO’s relationship with
Food Network star & chef Aarón Sánchez – he
designed four best-selling pairs of high performance, ultra-comfortable chef
shoes for MOZO’s Chef Signature
Collection – MOZO invites contest participants to celebrate these two
festive holidays by cooking a Sánchez-inspired dish
and posting an image to MOZO via Facebook.com/Mozoshoes or Twitter,
@MOZO_Shoes. Participants who post their dish between now and November 12, 2012
will have the chance to win a pair of MOZO shoes – either Sánchez’s Día de los Muertsos-inspired “Red Skulls”
or the line’s popular black MOZO Sharkz.
In
addition to this social media contest, there will also be a live contest at
Sánchez’s contemporary Mexican restaurant Mestizo, located at 5270 W. 116th
Place in Leawood, Kansas, on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 5 p.m. Those
interested should make an advance reservation to participate, and all
participants will receive a $10 Mestizo gift card for use at a later date. The
grand prize winner will receive a complimentary dinner for four at Mestizo; an
autographed copy of the new cookbook by Aarón Sánchez, Simple Food, Big Flavor; a bottle of 1800 Coconut Tequila; and a
one night stay at Aloft Hotel in Park Place in Leawood. Entrants must be 21
years of age or older to compete. www.mestizoleawood.com.
Complete
details for the contest can be found at the following link: http://bit.ly/QKED0N. Dishes
can be inspired by Sánchez at large – whether from his restaurants, cookbooks,
TV Shows or cultural inspirations. Participants in this category need to
provide a photo of the dish and the recipe. Submissions
must be received by November 12, 2012 at 10:00 AM PST and MOZO will pick
a total of 6 winners by Friday, November 16th.
