Cat Cora Collection

MOZO Shoes® brings inspiration to female footwear through a collaboration with acclaimed Chef and lifestyle entrepreneur Cat Cora

June 17, 2013 – Goleta, CA – MOZO® Shoes, creator of innovative footwear for culinary professionals and a division of Deckers Outdoor Corporation (NASDAQGS: DECK) reveals an exciting creative collaboration with acclaimed chef and lifestyle entrepreneur Cat Cora. With two lines, the Caviar Collection and the Farmers Market Collection, the MOZO-Cora collaboration speaks to culinary influencers of all types – from the mother who is passionate about experimenting in the kitchen to the industry professional working long hours on her feet. Beginning June 15, 2013, the shoes will be available nationwide through select retailers and online at www.Zappos.com.

“We are thrilled to introduce this partnership with Cat; beyond being our first footwear collaboration with a female chef, MOZO is honored to partner with such an inspiring trailblazer in the industry. With the Caviar and Farmers Market Collections we are giving women a stylish and thoughtfully designed option for both everyday wear and professional footwear,” says Jeff Bua, MOZO Brand President.

As the first female Iron Chef, a successful restaurateur, author of three cookbooks, an avid philanthropist, and the first female inducted into the American Academy of Chefs® Culinary Hall of Fame, Cora indeed offers a seasoned perspective on what female culinary professionals and influencers look for in a shoe.

“My collection is about supporting women as they move throughout their day. Whether at work, around the home, or running errands, women need a shoe that not only performs in a culinary atmosphere but also complements their lifestyle and personal flair,” says Cora.

The Caviar Collection includes the Divine, a refined clog in black and brown leather, and the Fresco, a beautiful wedge in black and brown leather with teal accents. The Farmers Market Collection is a casual and colorful line including two flats: the Sport and the Fab. Both silhouettes are available in black leather and in assorted waxed canvas colors such as black, walnut, pink, yellow, and green.

We're Making Some Changes

You may have noticed that we’re making some changes. It’s a risk, but we’re not afraid to take chances. In fact, we welcome the challenge. MOZO is much more than a duty brand. We’re a brand for culinary professionals – inspiring them to create and bolstering them in their pursuit of perfection.

We created a new logo that embodies the elemental forces of the kitchen - knives, steam, and fire. Our foundation is the creative energy generated by food culture. Our typography, like all great chefs, is tenacious, gritty and strong. We push the limits of our craft and created an emblem that matches our gusto.

To revolutionize our product line, we partnered with world-renowned chefs Marcus Samuelsson, Aarón Sánchez, and Cat Cora to inspire design. Utilizing the finest materials, we craft products that challenge the environment of elite kitchens. The new collections bridge function and fashion so you can incorporate style into every aspect of your life - whether you’re working the line or taking a stroll through your local farmers market.

Our new collections are intentionally styled for culinary influencers of all types from the chef, to the mom on the go, to the foodie at heart. The Natural Collection and 125th Street Collection present casual, street styled shoes crafted with natural materials. The Cat Cora Collection is a blend of sleek sophisticated leather wedges and casual, feminine waxed canvas flats in ripe, juicy tones to address all facets of a woman’s life. The popular Skull Series still boasts the signature Mexican Sugar Skull design but offers additional colors that pop.

At the NRA show in Chicago, May 18-21, 2013, we’ll reveal our new collections and logo for the first time with our chef partners Samuelsson, Sánchez, and Cora by our side. Stay tuned for updates. Follow us for all NRA Show happenings. If you’re attending the show, stop by booth #5512.
